About Kelly

I've had a lifelong love for all animals,
especially dogs and horses.  As a young girl,
my parents gave me an Alaskan Malamute,
Kavik.  He was a wonderful dog, and
somehow we survived obedience classes,
even graduated!  In my school years, I
competed with hunter/jumper horses.  I
loved the thrill of entering the showring and
competing with my equine partner.  From
spending my days in the barn, I was
introduced to Jack Russell terriers.  In 1995
my good friend Karen Fitzpatrick gave me my
first JRT, Bailey.  Both Karen and another
friend, Dana Pike, were already involved in
dog agility, so naturally I was drawn to the
sport.  Bailey and I were hooked at our first
class!  This game gave me the thrill of
showjumping, with my dog as a teammate.
Since those early years I have been blessed
to compete with (and titled) four dogs from
three of the  AKC Groups, one of which was a
very challenging rescue Malinois.  My dogs
and I have competed all over the
country, earned our way to the Final Round in
both the AKC and USDAA Nationals, and
we've even been on National TV numerous
times!  But, most importantly, we've made so
many friends and had so much fun along the
way!
